Honda Introduces the XL750 Transalp: The Perfect Adventure Touring Motorcycle
Honda has announced the release of their brand-new XL750 Transalp motorcycle, a model that pays homage to the iconic original but comes packed with modern features for a new generation of riders. This adventure touring motorcycle is designed for extended trips as well as urban riding, and everything in between. With its powerful engine, high-performance components, and sleek design, the XL750 Transalp is ready to take riders anywhere their hearts desire.
The XL750 Transalp features an eight-valve, parallel twin-cylinder engine that delivers 67.5kW and 75Nm, giving riders strong response across the rev-range. The Throttle By Wire (TBW) system provides four default riding modes, plus a user option, and five levels of Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with integrated Wheelie Control and three levels of Engine Braking and Power. The motorcycle also features a steel frame with full Showa suspension, 43mm SFF-CATM USD forks, and rear shock working through Pro-Link. Dual, two-piston calipers provide efficient stopping power, and 21/18-inch wheels wear tubed tyres.
The XL750 Transalp also boasts a premium specification, including a 5-inch colour TFT instrument display, with Honda Smartphone Voice Control, full LED lighting, auto-indicator cancel, and Emergency Stop Signals (ESS) technology. Additionally, an A2 licence option will be available.
The motorcycle's design projects an unmistakable feeling of adventure touring in a package that works superbly on the road. The fairing and screen work together to deliver wind protection without bulk, while the long-legged stance makes a strong statement of adventurous intent. The overall look is sleek, simple, and clean.
Handling is light, nimble, and confidence-inspiring. The steel diamond frame is lightweight thanks to the optimization of wall/pipe thickness and stiffness. The Showa 43mm SFF-CA USD forks and rear shock operating through Pro-Link provide supple on-road performance and off-road bump absorption. The tyres – 90/90-21/150/70-18 front and rear – deliver versatility on or off-road.
The XL750 Transalp will be available in three striking colour options, including the Tricolour paying homage to the original XL600V, marking the return of an icon. The other colour options are Matte Iridium Gray Metallic and Mat Ballistic Black Metallic.
The XL750 Transalp is the perfect adventure touring motorcycle, combining Honda's engineering prowess with a modern design and top-of-the-line features. Whether you're slicing through an Alpine pass or kicking up dust on rough tracks, the XL750 Transalp is ready to take you on your next adventure.
